20+ Years of Work Experience
Research: After completing my Masters (gold medallist) in Biochemistry (2003) I had the Department of Biosciences, National Chemical Laboratory, Pune, India. In 2007 I was awarded a highly prestigious and competitive central government fellowship, CSIR-Senior Research Fellowship (SRF) to pursue my PhD. In 2012 I was awarded my Ph.D. degree in Biotechnology with specialization in Nanobiotechnology. After Ph.D. I joined the Department of Chemistry, Indian Institute of Science Education and Research (IISER), Pune, India as a Post Doctoral Research Associate.
In 2013, I was awarded another fellowship, Post Doctoral Research Associateship by Council of Scientific and Industrial Research (CSIR), New Delhi, India at Department of Biosciences, National Chemical Laboratory, Pune. During my PhD and Post Doctorate stint I have published 20+ National and International publications (as first author, co-author and corresponding author) in high impact journals such as Advanced Materials, Chemical Engineering Journal, RSC advances, Plos One, etc. and won best poster and best Research Scholar award.
Contribution to Apex: I joined Apex Biosciences, jejuri, Pune as GM (R&D) in October 2023. Here I am working on developing novel, innovative and cost-effective macro, micro and nano formulations and specialty products for plant nutrition. I am also dealing with the development of amino acid and humic acid-based formulations. As of now more than 10 different formulations/products have been developed out of which 3-5 products/formulations are also been tested on field for their bio efficacy. Currently Field studies and development of other useful and novel products are going on.
